Electric scooter prices vary a lot, and from the outside it is not always clear why. Here is how they break down across the models in our shop, and what you get at each level.
Up to about 30,000 lekë: getting started
This is the first-scooter level. It rides at about 25-30 km/h, covers up to 40 km stated per charge and is light to carry. Enough for short trips in town, to school or to work when the distance is not long.
Example: the DriveTron DT01, with a front spring fork, 10" pneumatic tyres and a disc brake.
About 34,000 to 41,000 lekë: comfort and features
This is where the things you feel every day begin: front and rear suspension, tubeless tyres that do not puncture easily, rain protection, turn signals, or a battery you take out and charge indoors.
- Navee S65C: dual suspension and IP55.
- REDO Max G3: turn signals on the handlebar.
- Ninebot E3 Pro: traction control and Apple Find My.
- X9 ProMax and DriveTron DT08: 40 km/h and more power for hills and rough roads.
For most people, this is the level worth stopping at.
About 45,000 to 52,000 lekë: distance, power or brand
Above this level you pay for one of three things:
- Distance: the Kukirin C1 Pro seats two and has a battery for up to 100 km.
- Power: the Kukirin G2, a motor peaking at 1200 W and 45 km/h.
- Brand and build quality: the Ninebot F3 from Segway and the Xiaomi 5 Max, with hydraulic suspension and an app.
When paying more is not worth it
- For speed you will not use. In town, with traffic and junctions, you rarely ride above 25 km/h. 45 km/h only makes sense on long, open roads.
- For range you do not need. If you ride 10 km a day and charge every night, a 100 km battery is weight you carry for nothing.
What the price does not show
The scooter is only the start. Budget for a helmet, a good lock and, if you leave it outside, a cover. These keep the scooter safe and keep it where you left it.
If you are torn between two levels, write to us with how many km you ride a day, and we will help you choose without paying for things you will not use.
